Review of Trek Nation (2011) by Phil H — 07 Apr 2015
For Star Trek fans this is a wonderfully moving documentary. It's a beautiful tribute to legendary Gene Roddenberry. Best of all, it is his son that explores all the questions that fans might have.
I like the way the film didn't shy away from Roddenberry's flaws. Naturally, this would make him more human to his own son. There's also plenty of great Trek clips with lots of interviews.
Perhaps, it overstays its welcome for about 15 minutes but overall, it was a delightful doc on one of the largest and most popular franchises of all time.
