Review of Tragedy Girls (2017) by Lastfox — 03 May 2020
A half-hearted attempt at satire within the slasher genre. It starts promising enough but the idea gets old really fast. Partly because the two protagonists are annoying, interchangeable, one-dimensional or in short whatever the script wants them to be, but not interesting.
For a satire it's way too superficial and has nothing really to say about social media. For a slasher it has way to little kills and thrills. It might have worked as a short film, but in this form it's just being tedious.
