Review of Track of the Cat (1954) by Art S — 01 Sep 2009
Do you know who's the true villain in this film? No, not Robert Mitchum. It's the youngest son, letting his older brothers hunt the beast by themselves, pretending to be all shy and passive, pretending to care for his brothers when he finds out they have passed away, and planning everything all along just so he can kill the beast himself and prove himself.
Look at that demonic smile he makes at the end. Haha. But honestly, this film is overly conservative and over-the-top melodramatic shite.
