Review of The Wrath of Cain (2010) by Steve S — 14 May 2011
** (out of four).
The presence of Ving Rhames helps this routine prison picture, but he only takes it so far. The predictable script hampers it.
Rhames plays Cain, a crime lord who is locked up. Inside he becomes a prison hero, almost like a godfather. But his parental instincts kick in when his son is arrested and sent to the same prison where he is incarcerated.
Aside from Rhames, there is nothing special here. Just a bunch of thugs trying to get one over on the other.
