A drama set when the AIDS epidemic was getting broader attention. It's edited to keep a very quick pace, but that doesn't hide the fact that most of the marks it hits along the way have been dealt with many times before.
Its saving grace comes from a willingness to deal with the aftermath for a little longer than most movies involving a death.
