The witness is a captivating film narrated by Bill Genovese, brother of murder victim Kitty Genovese, who died at the age of 28. Early on in the film, Bill is painted as an intelligent older man who seeks to find out the truth about his sister's murder.
In doing this, the film does a brilliant job capturing his relentless drive, whereby he will not stop until he ascertains all the facts surrounding his sister's murder.
