Review of The Wild Women of Wongo (1959) by Cha T — 27 Nov 2008
So bad that it good! From the horrible premise of the hot girls stick with the hunks and the howlers stay with the slobs. So many classic scenes including the woman battling either a rubber alligator or one that is sedated or dead.
But nothing tops the Stravinskyesque Right of Spring dance in the Dragon God's temple. The Temple prietstess (Zuni Dyer) steals the movie with her thick Bronx accent as she commands the beauties from Wongo to appease the Dragon God's anger by dancing.
To which the women burst into a series of choreographed convulsions and seizure.
