Review of The Very Thought of You (1998) by Antonia K — 18 Dec 2008
Not enough people know about this movie. I need to thank my sister for suggesting this movie to me (Thank you...). I fell in love. For a long time I wanted to be Martha. This movie is funny, charming, British (!!!), and romantic.
There's nothing not to like about it. The music that plays throughout is perfect btw. Excellent acting by everyone. The way they tell the story almost backwards and from each different guy's perspective was creative and brilliant.
Risky, but it paid off. If it sounds confusing, it's not. Also, my favorite scene (or shot even) is towards the end when Laurence grabs an orange and goes out to watch the sunrise while he eats it.
...subtle, romantic (not in the traditional sense)...I want to do that so badly someday...has to be in London tho. Eating an orange in London while watching the sunrise...ahhh....SEE THIS MOVIE!!!
