Review of The TV Set (2007) by Srdjan D — 23 Sep 2007
This movie draws a lot of comparisons to Network, since they are both satires of the TV industry. I think that is unfair, mostly because those comparisons make this movie look like garbage. In its own right, however, its fairly clever and realistic (apparently people in TV have loved it).
David Duchovny is great as a writer trying to get his pilot made, and Ioan Gruffudd (of Fantastic 4), Judy Greer (Say goodbye to these!) and Sigourney Weaver are all great as well. That said, the actors who play the male in female leads in the show within a show are a little dodgy.
