Review of The Seven Little Foys (1955) by James Joseph L — 03 Jul 2009
Bob Hope at his best and the bonus of a great Cagney cameo makes Seven Little Foys a truly great biopic.
A true story of vaudeville entertainer Eddie Foy and his performing family is well acted by Bob Hope in his singing dancing and comedic element.
The storyline/script is good too as are the production values. It's all very well done but above all it's entertaining from start to finish.
Look out for James Cagney rekindling his oscar winning George M Cohen character from Yankee Doodle Dandy. The dance sequence between Hope and Cagney is something to see and treasure - two greats showing us their greatness.
All in all, Seven Little Foys is fine entertainment that you will never tire of watching.
