In classic Ti West fashion, "The Sacrament" is a sometimes superbly directed and haunting horror film that falls short of being great due to a couple massive flaws that the movie just can't completely overcome.
In this case, the chilling realism brought to the table by West's direction is unfortunately brought down at times by melodramatic dialogue and a couple histrionic performances. In the end, however, Ti West's latest is still worth checking out.
