As much as I would like to call this a bad film, its just one of those guilty pleasures (literally and metaphorically) that you can't just help but relish because its so fun, especially with an audience.
I don't know what the hell Ebert was thinking when he wrote his review of this movie! Yes, it has all these familiar elements--the ones from B movies that come on at midnight at your local UHF station.
To put it simply, this film is "The Wizard of Oz" meets "The Curse of Frankenstein.".
