Review of The Pretty One (2014) by Moya W — 02 Jul 2014

I honestly didn't want to enjoy this movie as much as I did, but I really enjoyed it. By the end I just wanted it to continue forever, I never wanted it to end. But like everything, they have to eventually.

I had only seen Zoe Kazan in Some Girl(s) before this one, and seeing as Some Girl(s) was absolutely atrocious this was a pleasant surprise. Zoe Kazan was amazing, playing not only one person but two.

Zoe Kazan also had amazing chemistry with Jake M. Johnson which truly made this movie to the masterpiece that it was.

This might be a storyline that we've seen before. Two identical twins. One of them is pretty and popular, the other is naive and weird. Then one of them dies, and having to process that you've just lost your other half.

But this movie manages to make it fresh and unique and the director and writer managed to make the movie funny and amusing despite the emotional topic, which is definitely a plus. Most enjoyable and most certainly recommended.
