Review of The Plague Dogs (1982) by Thomas G — 15 Apr 2011
I take it back; Plague Dogs is the most depressing animated film I have ever seen, and that is why I love it. This is another animated film that I want to see more of in today's film industry, like Watership Down.
In fact, John Hurt, the man who voices the main character in Watership Down, voicces the main character in this film. This has more blood than I saw in Watership Down, as well as a more emotionally-wrenching plot.
It is depressing to see the beginning sequence, where there are animals in this research lab, that are technically being tortured. By the end of this film, I was almost in tears. I have to thank Karisa for recommending this to me.
