Review of The Other F Word (2011) by Erin S — 19 Nov 2011
It's perfect, really just perfect. Mark hoppus' quote was one of my favorite "[fatherhood] it's like red matter in star trek, it just sucks everything in. and your world becomes just this".
Reviews stating it's unfocused are dumb because its focused around 1 main person(jim lindberg) with looks into the lives of many others comparing contrasting, its incredibly focused. being a father has many different tales from one person to the next. but the central idea of being a father and trying to be a better one then they ever had themselves.
and the reason it doesn't interview wives and kids is because its not about the wives and kids. its not an opinion piece looking to see if others think they are good fathers. It's about what being a father is to them alone.
It's real life, its honest and touching. and really well done on every level.
Thank you to the film makers. and keep up the great work dads!
