Review of The Lunchbox (2013) by Samir S — 20 Sep 2013
There is a scene in the movie "The Lunchbox" where a young fellow traveler in a local train offers his seat to Irfan Khan's character. The subtlety with which Irfan uses his body language to convey his discomfort with the realization that he is old enough for a youngster to offer him a seat is priceless.
There are many such scenes in the movie where you can't take your eyes off the actor. Nawazuddin Siddiqui provides a playful contrast to the Irfan Khan's character. The way the story unfolds is noteworthy.
It's rare to see a Hindi film without an overdose of drama. Simplicity is the main ingredient of this multi-layered tiffin. The Lunchbox is an utterly appetizing affair...
