Review of The Look of Silence (2014) by Dave P — 05 Feb 2016
"The past is past" say the villains at the centre of Joshua Oppenheimer's 'The Act Of Killing'. In 'The Look Of Silence' they are reminded it is far from it... the past, like their victims, can never truly be at rest.
A remarkable film about seeing things clearly, the danger of "just following orders" and the complicity of silence.
Uncomfortable. Unflinching. Unforgettable.
