Review of The Loneliest Planet (2012) by Derek D — 30 Dec 2012

There is a lot of intrigue and drama beneath the surface of this film - and yet it all comes off as tiresome. The cinematography beautifully captures the haunting essence of the film. And the sound design really picks up the tension hiding underneath the two leads.

But while an interesting study of how one split second can change everything; I'm not sure if it warrants an entire 2 hour movie. It seems like it tries to test it's audience - but the end never gives any sort of reward for sticking around.
