Review of The Lifeguard (2013) by Aaron M — 30 May 2014
I would say The Lifeguard is a light drama but is pretty much lifeless throughout. Its not particularly funny nor thought provoking but more a tiny crisis in a pretty dead end town. Theres a hint of interesting characters but is quickly forgotten due to the movies flat tone and uninspiring nature to surprise anyone.
Like the main character the film didn't really know what way to go and it feels like it eventually Garcia ran out of ideas.
