Review of The Kovak Box (2006) by Ian L — 22 Jul 2009
3 stars for the storyline, held back by the wooden delivery of Tim Hutton, the single expression maintained by Lucia Jimenez and the oddly sterile atmosphere of the film.
It could have been a belter, the story had great potential to create a sense of menace and develop the whole conspiracy angle. Instead we got a plodding and flat delivery which barely raised our resting heartrate. I'd suggest a remake but then they had their chance so give another story a pop instead.
