Review of The Killing Floor (2007) by Steve D — 16 Aug 2007
More of a mystery/suspense than I realised: I had hoped 30 minutes into it that it may become more supernatural, but that never transpired. It's nice to see Reiko Aylesworth in a role that's very different to her 24 appearances, but Shiri Appleby is the standout.
Not giving anything away, but her performance is far better than the revelation the movie throws on us, which was a bit of a disappointment, too hinged on coincidence, too contrived. And I didn't realise how easy it is to wander in and out of rich people's apartments in New York: I'm surprised the crime rate isn't higher than it is already.
