Review of The Kid Stays in the Picture (2002) by Samuel S — 15 Jul 2005
The Kid Stays in the Picture ***.
A sort of autobiography on film; legendary producer Robert Evans(Chinatown, Love Story, Marathon Man) narrates his life from his beginnings as an actor through his eventual job as a producer, his marital problems and drug charges, all spoken over a collage of pictures, interviews and film. It's actually a pretty interesting view of his life, if you can get past the occasional self-awareness and, since it is him talking about himself, glazing over a few facts. But all in all it is entertaining doc, and I'd definitely recommend it.
