Review of The Journey Is the Destination (2016) by Mia M — 17 Feb 2017

I walked into the screening of this film incredibly excited, and walked out feeling so deflated and disappointed. To me, the film failed to portray the inspiring and gritty side of Dan (and other characters) but instead, showed them as a bunch of privileged and ignorant kids running around, while focusing on every possible stereotype of Sub-Saharan Africa you could imagine.

I truly expected to be moved to tears, but I left feeling like great injustice was done to the life and legacy of Dan Eldon. :(.
