Review of The Iron Ladies (2000) by Amber P — 28 Aug 2007
I'm a sucker for movies based on true events and i'm also a sucker for fruity gay comedy. This is the story of a group of ragamuffin homosexual/drag/transvestite Thai volleyball players who band together despite opposition and make it big.
It's a great movie showing the hardships of team work, acceptance and family secrecy. With a little love triangle or two thrown in there, some catty drama and a good message or two. A great watch for those who enjoy somewhat cheesey movies.
