Review of The Iron Ladies (2000) by Giffy G — 16 Jan 2009
There is not one original bone in this movie's body. It is highly given to cliche, the drama drips with unapologetic melodrama, and the characters come close to being one dimensional. With that being said, it is rollicking good fun.
The acting sells the one dimensional characters, the cliches and melodrama make the movie good fun where it could have easily fallen victim to being too serious, and the script is lovable. The characters are quirky and lovable, the movie fun and frivolous.
I love every moment of it.
