Review of The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete (2013) by Ryan K — 06 Feb 2014
Naturally I love the upfront soundtrack (Nas, Common etc.) to accent the Brooklyn summer vibe. Three weeks go by with the tempo of a single day. The use of Fargo is magnificent in such a random manner.
The wonder and heartbreak go hand in hand. I hope Brooks has been offered rewarding roles because he works magic in this film. A story that shows the will to survive, the need to accept and forgive and inflicts such strong emotions going under the radar, is a sin.
