Review of The Indian Runner (1991) by Tenno A — 28 Aug 2007
The film that most represents? well (frighteningly enough? ) ME.
Probably my favorite film of all-time. ?Just based on my personal relationship to it.
However, a BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT directorial debut for Sean Penn (yep!) and a STELLAR cast. VIGO MORTENSEN proving he is one of the greatest actors alive, today; in fact, probably THE BEST. ?Basically, the film is his character's relationship w/David Morse's character? every other actor in every other scene does a SUPERB job,m as well, though. Patricia Arquette nails her role and the (essentially) "cameo" by Charles Bronson, is really cool & beautifully acted.
Penn's done, other, brilliant, work? but, in my opinion, he's never topped this piece.
