Review of The Houses October Built (2014) by John M — 27 Aug 2016
Much like gymnastics, a good film must stick its landing. "The Houses October Built" has a fairly unique twist on the stalker/phsycho killer theme that is fairly engaging throughout the film.
The main characters make textbook mistakes like accidentally insulting possible homicidal country folk as well as the standard guy who always seems to pick a fight with them. Overall it was a decent film with a good build up and solid plot until the end.
To say the end left you wanting more is a bit of an understatement. It was vague and could have been executed better with minimal effort. I really did enjoy this film, but the end just killed it for me.
