Review of The Good Night (2007) by Thom M — 30 Jun 2008
I hadn't heard of this film at all until I spotted it on a supermarket shelf. I like Martin Freeman and Simon Pegg so I was intrigued and rented it.
It is a coll little film about a man who is so bored of his life he would rather live in his own dreamworld. He finds out about "Lucid Dreams" in which it is possible to control what happens while you are dreaming and tries to perfect the art.
It isn't a comedy but it makes you laugh.
It is an odd mix of Englishmen in America, part rockumentary part mid-life crisis drama. I guess that's why I liked it because it was original.
Don't get to into the Lucid dreaming bit or it might ruin your sleep after like it did mine ;-).
