Review of The Four Times (2010) by Rob L — 29 Jan 2012
One if you are in a quiet mood, this practically wordless study of a beautiful Calabrian village, features a herd of goats and a territorial hound among its main protagonists and almost has the feel of a nature documentary.
The ageless scenery is presented in a series of tableaux, as if impressionist paintings, but the low key noises of the rural environment â" birds twittering, the wind blowing and goats proclaiming â" add to the contemplative mood.
A highly subtle and beautiful movie.
