Review of The Flower of Evil (2003) by John C — 03 Jun 2004
The Flower of Evil is a French suspense thriller that contains little of both. The story involves a family who's family tree barely forks as many of the cousins and step children routinely sleep with each other.
The film barely takes notice of this strange behavior (in fact most of the family seems to be non-plused that cousins are sleeping togther). The suspense part of the film arrives late in the movie (about 90 minutes into it to be exact) and by that time you are really at the point of saying "who care.
" Be advised, if you thinking that this movie is more of a psycological thriller that, like a fine wine tastes better with age, don't be fooled. After watching this I would settle for some good Boone's Farm or Mad Dog 20/20 that be forced to sit through that again.
