Review of The Final Year (2018) by Jack F — 19 Jan 2018
A fantastic look at what a highly functional White House full of competent officials and public servants and all around decent people is like.
This is what government should look like and how it should function. And that's made FAR more stark by the utter train wreck that took the Obama administration's place.
We have a seriously flawed democracy and electoral system if we can go from this high level of competence and decency to such utter incompetence and degeneracy seemingly overnight. Although technically the electors of the electoral college were specifically tasked by the creators of that system to prevent and deny someone like Trump from assuming the presidency. They failed in their solemn duty.
Hopefully we can return to this remarkable level of good governance in short order. Assuming there is a United States left to govern.
