This is a movie I knew nothing about. It was just a name on a list of movies to see. I was very happy to find an incredibly fresh story that is amazing to look at.
If you have a blu ray player I recommend you see it in that format. The colors just pop out of the screen. It reminds me of a more serious Baron Munchaussen. Possibly the best thing was the very natural acting by the little girl. Catinca Untaru. There is nothing fake in her performance.
Easily one of the best films of 2006. Also one of the best films I have seen recently. Take a chance on this one. You will not be dissapointed.
