Review of The Exploding Girl (2010) by Dan T — 29 Jan 2011
This was a decent, well-acted neo-realism. I thought the photography was pretty great. The plot and the characters were engaging enough that it I enjoyed watching it but nothing about it blew me away. The movie generally felt nice.
I spent a lot of the time trying to figure out if it was set mostly in the East Village or if that was Brooklyn and felt ashamed about never knowing for sure.
