I was blown away by this movie. I love 'Nirvanna The Band The Show', but because I didn't really know anything about 'The Dirties' I expected it to be the same kind of dark comedy. And while there are definite similarities (which can mostly be attributed to Matt Johnson's directing style), this is far darker and less comedic.

Yet it still affected me the same way the show does. By that I mean, the show constantly has me backing into an uncomfortable mental corner because of how far they go with creating awkward humor. This had me doing the same thing, but with regards to how true and raw all the bullying felt and how real and terrifying the outcomes were.

I'm still in absolute awe. 'The Dirties' is a brilliant film, and Matt Johnson is a genius.
