Review of The Devil and Father Amorth (2018) by Ryan W — 26 Apr 2018
This documentary seemed like it was shot by a 6th grade film class. Friedkin uses this music that really doesn't match the scenery of the documentary. He tries to hype up things by attempting to sensationalize the exorcism and tells this story (with no film to back it up), it was just bizarre and not believable. If he had just told the story without all the stupid music and hyped up commentary, and simply interviewed the afflicted, it would have come off a lot better. It was so obvious that he was trying to use this as an opportunity to just shock and awe people. And it was Lame. Lame. Lame.
The boyfriend holding the afflicted was smiling during the exorcism. That was beyond bizarre. I think maybe if she got rid of the BF, her 'demons' might go away too.
I can't believe the same person who did the Exorcist put this out there. It was beyond horrible.
