Of all the recent spoof comedies of the last few years, this one is probably the best of the bunch. It's not just a mish-mash of random topical references to popular culture that's going to look really dated in a couple years time. It sticks to a vein of sports references that actually blend together quite well, and will age better, too. I find that far more funny.
Best of all, I don't recall there being any song numbers or dance routines. What bright light thought choreographed dance routines was funny? Did Airplane have a dance number? Now I better go check that...
