Review of The Christmas Candle (2013) by Mus S — 23 Nov 2013
Our family saw Max Lucado's "The Christmas Candle" last night and loved it. It is a breath of fresh air to the STALE Hollywood template usually offered on the big screen today. This movie is not another predictable plot with explicit violence & sex ad nauseum.
all action / no depth. This film is all about DEPTH of character, DEPTH of faith, DEPTH of the human spirit (the very topics Hollywood does not know how to portray). Kudos to the writer, director, cinematographer, the casting director, actor Hans Matheson, and all who were involved.
Our family thinks that this film will become regular viewing every Christmas season to come. In other words, "The Christmas Candle" will be a CLASSIC.
