I saw this last night w/my family and it was nothing short of SUPERB! Great story, fantastic scenery & casting, and all ages LOVED it! The critics are most likely agnostic or atheists, because there is the mention of Christ Jesus in the movie, which probably doesn't sit well with them. lol. Definitely destined to be a Christmas classic that our family will watch every year!! I want to go see it AGAIN.

One thing I found interesting - most movies I go to, as soon as they scroll the names, people pick up their stuff & leave quickly. This time, no one MOVED. They sat spell bound through the entire credits. The theater completely quiet. It was a special movie and moment in time, indeed. *LOVED IT*.
