Review of The Caveman's Valentine (2001) by Roberto A — 19 Sep 2007
A very odd, random discovery. Samuel L. Jackson plays a wino living in a cave in Central Park who witnesses a murder. It's certainly one of the strangest approaches to a murder mystery, as the delusional Jackson tries to solve the crime while beset with schizoid hallucinations, mostly emanating from The Chrysler Building.
This flick has a very indie personality, but is sadly saddled with a very stupid ending that I suspect some market-research driven producer tacked on. Worth a look for Jackson's great performance and nice cinematography.
