Review of The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016) by Tim M — 12 Nov 2018
The Autopsy of Jane Doe is a 2016 supernatural horror film directed by Andrà (C) Ã~vredal in first English-language film. It stars Emile Hirsch and Brian Cox as father-and-son coroners who experience supernatural phenomena while examining the body of an unidentified woman.
This is a marvelous scarefest. I felt like there was impending doom at every corner and considering the tight space this was filmed in, it's incredible the thrill factor of this movie. Tense and taut it doesn't overstay its welcome, leaves the door open for a sequel, but closes this chapter nicely. I loved this. It's not blood and guys, but smart and will your skin is tingling you're also thinking and rooting for the father and the son to figure out the puzzle. One of the masterpieces of 2016 that I'm really glad I caught up on. Final Score 9.7/10.
