A coming of age drama, which to a degree works, unfortunatly not everything comes together, a thoughtful voiceover helps things along a bit, but the story doesent. there is in here a side story involving a teacher who is/not gay.
and his troubles, played well by Ed harris. this story alone would have made a great story. unfortunatly most time spend on at times annoying kids. and yes there is a scene where a ugly kid can actually sing, oh the shock.
