Review of Tamasha (2015) by Ranpreet B — 29 Nov 2015
The movie lives up to its name. This is a Bold and Beautiful message of self-realization. The story is kinda off-beat and both Piyush Mishra as well as Ranbir Kapoor did a wonderful job. And, if you follow the story from an artist's perspective you could definately make sense of it.
****Spoiler Alert****.
The protagonist constantly wants to escape the mundane life, and even the director shows this in climax where Ranbir is shown trying to be his true self at School, at University and later at Work. However, he had to hear it from someone who has seen his true self and knows him to be motivated enough to take such a bold decision (Deepika in this case). Even though he still struggles for some time with two personalities, until his story teller calls him a coward and tells him to write is story on his own.
I think it is a wonderful story of self realization. Not the best, but, this is indeed a difficult story to tell. I would rate it 3/5.
