Review of Synecdoche, New York (2008) by Wes M — 03 Sep 2010
...........Yea, it's hard to talk about this movie. Prolly cuz it was so ridiculously good. A helluva directorial debut by kaufman, whose already a fantastic writer. This movie is arguably one of the most depressing, while also being one of the most brilliant. I don't really wanna delve into the plot, for fear of giving too much away. Phillip Seymour Hoffman just became one of my favorite actors.
O hey, look at that, another phenomenal movie that doesn't even get nominated or beat it's budget. Are we surprised?
