Review of Suicide Club (2001) by Rikianne G — 13 Feb 2008
Asks a lot of questions and then pulls out, allowing you to answer them yourself. The ending was disappointing initially because of this but when mulled over it really is brilliant, allowing you to put the pieces together yourself and grab what you can of the experience and use it to fuel your own understanding. The movie can mean many things, and all of these many things make sense because the movie is smart enough to keep nearly every aspect of itself open ended. Very little is closed, and what is closed is mean to ask more questions.
I'll never get tired of watching this and thinking it over.
