Review of Strictly Sinatra (2001) by Jarryd R — 10 Jan 2007
Well I didn't seem to dislike it nearly as much as many others here, though I didn't care for it - I didn't hate it either. William H. Macey saves this movie from a bad to a fair - as his performance was very fine-tuned and intriguing and a pleasure to watch in it's own.
Also thought the same for the small part played by the young man playing Frankie Jr. I think if you are a WHM fan who wants to see him (once again) demonstrate the fine craft of acting - it's still worth the watch.
They also captured the time period in props and wardrobe without going over the top or being too kitchy which happens often. - If there was a fair rating - I'd rate fair - but it goes from bad - to good so I'll say 'good' only because Mr.
Macey's own performance was just too good to rate the movie as haven't liked it.
