There's a grittiness and authenticity about this film that I love. Perhaps I'm empathising with the character's struggles through life, growing up in your 20's, or just appreciating solid, down to earth writing, directing and acting from Vin Diesel.

There are a lot of independent films that I feel don't convey their message as strongly as they could. In Strays, the writing, direction and acting combine to give an authentic look at the struggles of youth and multi culturalism in contemporary society.
