Review of Stockholm (2019) by Karaelizabeth — 19 May 2019

Stockholm was such an interesting watch! The layered complexity that the actors established within the characters’ relationships will have audiences guessing, as you never know who is on the same side.

I also thought that Noomi Rapace gave a stand out performance as the female lead, subtly balancing strength and vulnerability and humanizing the psychological phenomenon of Stockholm Syndrome. The entire cast also maintained a level of honesty that seamlessly balanced the juxtaposition of the film’s dark comedy and at times absurd tone.
