Review of Starting Over (2014) by Deep D — 20 Jul 2007

I'm not a big Burt Reynolds fan but give this movie a try and you might be surprised by what a wonderful performance he gives. And I cannot rave enough about Jill Clayburgh and Candice Bergen, who are absolutely wonderful (both were nominated for Oscars).

I think this is Ms. Clayburgh's best performance--she is so funny and you really care about her insecure character. And Ms. Bergen really gets to display her comic chops as she plays a self-centered aspiring "singer"--her music moments are priceless.

Such a witty script--and if you know and love Charles Durning, Frances Sternhagen and Austin Pendleton--who show up in supporting roles--be sure not to miss this one!
