Review of Stake Land (2010) by Nico S — 27 Nov 2013

I happened across this film purely by chance. There is no way that I'd have chosen to go out, buy or watch this film at home. I was tired, was going to turn in then clicked on to this film as it was starting.

I decided to watch for 20mins which turned into 40...which.. I'm glad I did because the first 20 or so mins weren't great but wow. Some scenes in the film had me enthralled. One noteable scene was towards the end, everyone is in the woods, exposed, quiet and the silence and scene spoke a thousand words.

Amazed. Sadly due to the box office takings will they get another outing? (The 2013 The way we are has been panned) :(.
